Vision
Everybody eats.
A world where nobody talks themselves out of being hungry. Where no one misses a meal, no kitchen cooks for an empty room, and good food never ends up in the trash. Too ambitious? Watch us. We're just at the starting line.
About
Why we really built it
As students and busy professionals, we knew the struggle from every angle: the checkout math, the apps you scroll and quit without ordering, the little iPad at the counter that gobbles up your money. Eating out is convenient, just not for your wallet. Eating in is affordable, but cooking means planning your week like a part-time job and reheating the same meal until Friday. And even with the routine down, your friends will pick tonight to go out.
Mulling over the options ate half the evening, and whatever we chose felt like a compromise. There had to be a better way. Enjoying a meal shouldn't take a spreadsheet or come with a side of regret. So we built the thing that ends the negotiation.
Crave it. Nosh it. Repeat.
Mission
We're on a mission to rebuild the local food economy. Yes, all of it. No more paying through the nose for a meal out, and no more independent restaurant owners wondering where the next dollar is going to come from. NoshBox organizes operations and predicts demand for restaurants. Better certainty and better planning create savings, and those savings get passed on to you. The goal: strip the guilt out of good food with meals you can afford, while local businesses thrive.
Vision
A world where nobody talks themselves out of being hungry. Where no one misses a meal, no kitchen cooks for an empty room, and good food never ends up in the trash. Too ambitious? Watch us. We're just at the starting line.
Our pledge
When eating out costs less, people do it more, and that adds value to the economy. Our data platform removes the inefficiencies in the middle and finds the price where demand and supply actually meet. When everyone eats, communities do better.
Where we're from
NoshBox is built in Champaign–Urbana, backed by the iVenture Accelerator and the City of Champaign, and developed hand in hand with local restaurants.
College students in the US struggle to afford regular meals.
We couldn't think of a better place to start our food revolution.
